It's a miraculous thing the day Michael Crowe has been configured to receive a heart transplant potentially save lives. Doctors determined surgery was ineffective - but his heart suddenly began to beat again.

Crowe, a student of pharmacy Omaha for 23 years, had been diagnosed with acute myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, likely caused by a viral infection.
